James West

James West, Executive Assistant at the Partnership, is a lifelong Washington, DC Native, residing in Wards 7 & 8. He is a recent graduate of Marymount University. While at Marymount, James pursued a Major in Economics with a specialty in Management and Sustainability; and a minor in Literature/Composition. During his four years in college he was able to secure internships at the Department of Justice, The World Bank, and the Washington DC Economic Partnership.

Since high school, James has been involved with organizations concerned with researching and altering the economic and systematic issues that affect under-resourced communities. In 2018 he served on the Alumni Board for the National Non-Profit Urban Alliance, and received a research grant in Enlightenment Literature from the National Endowment for Humanities.
