July 26, 2023, Washington, DC. The Washington DC Economic Partnership (WDCEP) is seeking a new President & CEO to lead and implement strategies to accelerate economic growth in the District of Columbia. WDCEP is a non-profit, public-private organization whose core purpose is to actively position, promote, and support economic development and business opportunities in the District.

WDCEP’s mission is to promote the District’s economic and business opportunities through supporting business retention and attraction activities. WDCEP’s unique position is owed to its historical knowledge of the city’s business and economic climate; accurate analytics, data, and research; and access to community partners.

WDCEP collaborates with its partners in the city to facilitate dynamic relationships with technology visionaries, entrepreneurs, real estate professionals, nonprofits, and global enterprise leaders. We stay one step ahead of the vibrant and evolving economic landscape by monitoring the pulse of the District’s economic landscape.
An ideal candidate will possess exceptional strategic leadership and managerial skills, a deep understanding of economic development principles, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to drive sustainable economic prosperity. The position reports to the WDCEP’s board of directors, comprised of public and private sector members.
