Electric vehicle maker Rivian Automotive Inc. is opening a showcase center at 1100 New York Ave. NW near CityCenterDC this fall.
Beau Whiteman, a D.C.-based senior policy adviser at Rivian … said the new location, which spans 4,233 square feet, is as much a marketing play for the Irvine, California-based automaker as an opportunity to sell vehicles. Whiteman mentioned the busy foot traffic on New York Avenue NW and the location next to CityCenter as being “better than a billboard” for Rivian.

The bond credit rating group said Monday the District benefitted from “very strong fiscal governance and prudent budget management that will mitigate federal policy uncertainty and offset expected softer revenue during the next year.”
