JotPsych, a D.C. startup developing an AI-based electronic health record tool for mental and behavioral health providers, has landed a $5 million seed round.

The 2-year-old company plans to use the funding to build out additional capabilities for the EHR tool, which is based on existing AI scribe software that transcribes patient notes.

A second-quarter market report from Savills shows asking rents in the D.C. region have climbed steadily since 2020 and net absorption has been positive in all but two of the last 21 quarters. That’s in contrast to 40% of the markets Savills tracks, where asking rents have fallen at least 5% from their 2022 and 2023 peaks, said Chris Bauers, an industrial research manager at Savills and the author of the market report.

In the second quarter, the D.C. region saw a 6.6% vacancy rate and positive net absorption — new occupancy — of 1.7 million square feet, higher than the five-year quarterly average for the region, per Savills’ report.

New York-based Citibank’s newest D.C. branch is its largest ever in the market.

The 6,427 square-foot location at 1258 Wisconsin Ave. NW … is the region’s first Citibank Center — a larger format branch that operates as a regional hub and contains a wealth center. There are only a handful nationwide, including a recently opened Citibank Center in Manhattan.

With 33 branches in the market, Citi has been on a small-scale expansion in Greater Washington over the past year.
