Connectivity + Access
The 400-foot Parkside Pedestrian Bridge arriving this year will cross over Kenilworth Avenue, two railroad tracks, and I-295 to link the Eastland Gardens, Kenilworth, and Parkside neighborhoods with the Minnesota Avenue Metrorail Station.
Parkside
CityInterests Development Partners is transforming 26 acres into a 3.1 million SF mixed-use development, including 1,500 to 2,000 residential units, 50,000 SF of retail, 860,000 SF of office space, and a one-acre park. More than 500 new residential units, including 186 for-sale homes, have arrived since 2012, and the project will continue through 2025.
Kenilworth Courts
Proximate to the Deanwood Metrorail Station, this phased development will include 530 housing units of mixed types including multi-family buildings and townhomes.
Area Anchors
- Unity Health Care and Johns Hopkins Medicine’s Sibley Memorial Hospital have established a cancer clinic within the Parkside Health Center at 765 Kenilworth Terrace NE.
- Delivered in 2017, the Kenilworth-Parkside Recreation Center is a combination of new construction and adaptive reuse of part of the former Kenilworth Elementary School.
