D.C.-based workers compensation startup Pie Insurance has raised $127 million
The funding includes $27 million that will go to the business itself and another $100 million to form a new affiliated company—Pie Carrier Holdings. Read More

New Health Facilities Announced at St. Elizabeths East
Whitman-Walker, a health care non-profit, has agreed to build an additional 116,000 SQ FT medical facility at St. Elizabeths East Campus. This opportunity, in addition with the District’s agreement with Universal Health Services to build another hospital on the campus, highlights DC’s commitment to improving the quality of life for District residents by equitably targeting the reduction of health, economic, and racial disparities of residents.
