WDCEP to Showcase DC at ICSC Mid-Atlantic
WDCEP will be showcasing the DC development market at the upcoming International Council of Shopping Centers’ (ICSC) Mid-Atlantic Conference and Deal Marking held at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center on February 21st-22nd. This conference attracts regional brokers, retailers, developers, economic development officials and elected offices to learn of new ideas and trends on retail management, marketing, and leasing, and to make important contacts and deals. In the past, ICSC conferences have been a key venue for deal-making to attract retailers to the District of Columbia and have led to deals with Target, Harris Teeter, Apple, and others.
Day one of the conference will feature educational sessions and forums on the hot topics of the industry. The program also features a Retailers Runway showcasing retailers entering or expanding into the Washington, DC region, and a Development Runway, showcasing the region’s most significant development projects presented by developers.
Day two will consist of the traditional tradeshow where WDCEP will host a booth showcasing major development projects and retail opportunities in the District. WDCEP will highlight commercial opportunities throughout the city, including NoMa, the Riverfront, and East of the Anacostia River.
For the past 13 years, WDCEP has continuously represented the District of Columbia at the ICSC’s many real estate and retail conferences. ICSC is a trade association for the shopping center industry with over 44,000 members including developers, retailers, marketing specialists, investors, lenders, and shopping center owners.
