WDCEP Releases 2010 Neighborhood Profiles
In February, the Washington, DC Economic Partnership (WDCEP) released the 2010 Neighborhood Profiles at the Mid-Atlantic ICSC conference.
The publication includes 35 profiles on DC’s neighborhoods & major commercial corridors as well as the Main Street programs and Great Streets Initiatives. At the conference, the WDCEP also announced Chinatown as the newest neighborhood to be profiled in the publication.
National and regional retailers are able to capture the individual character and makeup of each distinct neighborhood included in the profiles, through the detailed demographics featured in the publication. The 2010 Neighborhood Profiles allow national, regional and local retailers to quickly and accurately learn how DC and its neighborhoods are changing.
The WDCEP collaborated with numerous agencies and neighborhood community development organizations, to produce the profiles. Each profile includes a description of the neighborhood, demographic information, a map of the area, neighborhood highlights and contact information for business opportunities.
The Neighborhood Profiles are a central part of the WDCEP’s retail recruitment effort, which has helped to attract national and local retailers to DC. Copies of the profiles can be found at the WDCEP office (1495 F St NW) as well as online at wdcep.com.
