WDCEP Launches 2016/2017 DC Doing Business Guide
On Thursday, October 6, 2016, local professionals and community leaders joined the Washington DC Economic Partnership at Breather’s newest space to celebrate the launch of the latest edition of the DC Doing Business Guide. Both WDCEP and Breather understand that DC’s entrepreneurs work hard so that they can enjoy the great things the District has to offer, and were proud to showcase both facets of the city during this event.
Attendees were welcomed into a unique ambiance with distinct “work hard” and “play hard” areas—denoted by two adjoining rooms with two different atmospheres—supplemented by complimentary décor and a diverse selection of food and drink, provided through the generosity of local vendors.
The guest experience was heightened by the incredible design and event planning coordinated by the IDA ROSE team, as well as impeccable lighting by Lotus Productions, generous donations of bouquets from Urban Stems, signage from Gelberg Signs, and the much-loved photo booth graciously provided by Tickled.
Our guests especially loved the food and beverages that were kindly donated by the following DC companies: &pizza, Amavi Sweets, District Doughnut, Dress it Up Dressing, Galley Foods, Maki Shop, Misteka, and Sugar Rim Bar.
Largely due to the efforts of our staff and our partners, the event was a tremendous success. We are especially grateful to to our co-hosts at Breather for allowing us to share in the celebration of the grand opening of their 1705 DeSales Street location. This location is beautiful, and we hope that you have a chance to host your next board meeting, training, product demo, or retreat in any of their DC workspaces. We would also like to thank the Deputy Mayor’s Office for Planning and Economic Development, the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, DC Health Link, the Department of Insurance Securities & Banking and the incredible support of our Board of Directors for sponsoring the DC Doing Business Guide and Launch.
