WDCEP Hosts 15th Annual Capital Reception

The WDCEP hosted a 500+ crowd of DC’s top leaders in the retail and real estate industry at this year’s 15th Annual Capital Reception held at TAO Nightclub during ICSC RECon. The annual event aims to celebrate the District’s thriving economy, the unique retail opportunities the city offers, and the movers and shakers that made it all possible.

Mayor Vincent C. Gray, joined by Councilmember Muriel Bowser, Chair of the Council’s Economic Development Committee, and Councilmember Yvette Alexander of Ward 7 led the celebration in welcoming the crowd and proclaiming that the District is open for business. Cookies in the shape of the District by Kalorama Cookie Company; drinks designed by Union Market’s artisan mixologist, Gina Chersevani; and DC neighborhood pillows covering the venue were just some of the highlights of the party.
