WDCEP Plans for ICSC Mid-Atlantic

February 10, 2014

The WDCEP is preparing to showcase the DC development market at the upcoming International Council of Shopping Centers’ (ICSC) Mid-Atlantic Conference and Deal Making held at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Md. on Feb. 18 to Feb. 19. The conference will provide networking and deal-making opportunities with regional brokers, retailers, developers, economic development officials and elected officials. Attendees will learn about trends in retail management, marketing and leasing. Past ICSC conferences have been essential in attracting retailers to DC, leading to deals with Target, Harris Teeter, Apple and others.

Special Interest Group Forums (SIGs) will be held on fresh topics of the industry including Franchises and Women in Real Estate. The program will also feature a student mentoring program, as well as a Retailers’ and Development Runway to showcase retail expansion in D.C and the region’s most significant development projects.

WDCEP will host a booth at the conference tradeshow where it will highlight major commercial and retail opportunities in the District including NoMa, the Riverfront and East of the Anacostia River.

WDCEP has represented D.C at the ICSC’s many real estate and retail conferences for 15 years. ICSC is a trade association for the shopping center industry with over 60,000 members including developers, retailers, marketing specialists, investors, lenders, and shopping center owners throughout the world.
