WDCEP Board Member and President to Co-Chair 2012 ICSC Mid-Atlantic

The WDCEP’s board member, Henry Fonvielle, Executive Vice President of The Rappaport Companies, will continue his leadership role with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Mid-Atlantic Conference Committee and serve as the body’s chair for the upcoming year.  Our own Steve Moore, the WDCEP’s president and CEO, has been selected to work with Mr. Fonvielle and serve as co-chair for the 2012 International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Mid-Atlantic Conference Committee. 

Comprised of commercial developers, retailers and leaders in economic growth, the committee works to organize all events and programs associated with the Mid-Atlantic Conference and Deal Making.  Chairs are selected by leaders of the ICSC Association as well as the program planning committee itself, and must demonstrate great organizational abilities and knowledge in the retail industry.  The commitment time is two years—one as co-chair and one as chair. 

Mr. Fonvielle was pleased with this year’s participation at the February conference, which attracted attendees in the realm of finance, politics and retail, stating “We had a very strong attendance of around 1600 people this year and our goal is to increase that number by 20 percent in 2012.”  For next year’s conference, the committee looks ahead to new tenant outreach as well as innovative session topics that are of great interest to attendees as a whole.  For more information about ICSC, click HERE.
