WDCEP Annual Award Winners

This year the District’s office industry was celebrated at the Washington, DC Economic Partnership’s Annual Meeting luncheon. The 2005 Development Awards focused on office projects in a variety of categories with the winners being announced at the luncheon.

The 2005 award winners are:

Most Catalytic Office Project was given to Boston Properties for 901 New York Avenue.

Best New Office Building was awarded to the Pepco Corporate Headquarters.

The award for Best Office Renovation Project went to The JBG Companies for the Potomac Center.

The Best Mixed Use Project category was awarded to Akridge and Western Development, for Gallery Place at 7th & G Streets, NW.

The Lifetime Achievement Award in Office Development was awarded to John E. “Chip” Akridge, founder of Akridge Real Estate Services.

Honorable Mention Awards were also given to the following projects:
