Ward 5 Restaurants New Focus for WDCEP Tour

Ward 5: The Point at Arboretum In mid-April, the WDCEP will be joined by District government officials, brokers, entrepreneurs, and real estate professionals for a Ward 5 site tour that will focus on opportunities for local and national retailers and restaurateurs. The tour will highlight existing opportunities along Rhode Island Avenue and New York Avenue, NE, including Rhode Island Row, the Shops at Dakota Crossing and the Point at Arboretum.

New public and private developments are creating new opportunities across all neighborhoods in Ward 5. National retailers such as Costco, Shoppers Food and Walmart are entering the market and creating shopping destinations while local entrepreneurs such as Colin McDonough (Boundary Stone) and Diton Pashaj (Rustik Tavern) have taken advantage of these investments by opening restaurants in areas with high-demand.
