Retail Development Highlights

The District’s economic renaissance is alive and well, and is evidenced by the host of new and renovated buildings that are changing the city’s landscape.

The retail spaces offered in the city allow for small boutique type shops or department stores. Below are just two examples of the great retail opportunities offered in the District.

The Clara Barton & The Lafayette

The Clara Barton (616 E Street), contains 255 condos and delivered in May 2004 while The Lafayette (631 D Street), offers 173 condos and will deliver at the end of 2004. There will also be about 35,000 sq. ft. of retail and a 265-seat Woolly Mammoth theater.
