Next Stop – Georgia Avenue! WDCEP Restaurant/Retail Site Tours Continue

New public and private developments are creating new opportunities across all neighborhoods along Georgia Avenue. On July 24th, The WDCEP will be joined by District government officials, brokers, entrepreneurs, and real estate professionals for a site tour along Georgia Avenue that will highlight the many current and future retail and restaurant opportunities.

Georgia Avenue

The Georgia Avenue corridor is one of the District’s longest and is bound by many neighborhoods and institutions. The corridor is anchored by the Washington DC Convention Center on the southern end, Howard University in the middle, and Walter Reed Army Medical Center on the northern end. Tourists will learn about spaces available at Progression Place, Wonder Plaza, Howard University, and Walter Reed Medical Center to a name a few.

In a two-hour tour, tourists will not only learn about all of the available opportunities in the Georgia Avenue corridor, but they will also be presented with an abundance of information that will aid them in finding the perfect location for their restaurant or retail business. Tourists will hear from DC Government officials on current financial incentives and storefront improvement programs, as well as from Georgia Avenue business owners on why they chose to open their business there.
