Map of the Month: Retail Opportunities Offering More Than 25,000 sq. ft. of Available Space

The month of May marks the time of year when the Washington, DC Economic Partnership (WDCEP) and the District government work together to lead our annual concentrated effort at attracting retail and business at the International Council of Shopping Centers’ (ICSC) RECon Exhibition. In preparation for our projected 80+ retailer meetings, WDCEP updated a full listing of DC’s available and future retail space inventory. This Map of the Month features a list of DC properties and projects that are currently available or actively under construction and have a total of more than 25,000 sq. ft. of available retail space. The size of individual retail bays were not factored into this list, so some properties may be better suited for large-format retailer, while others are better suited for several smaller-footprint users. Regardless of the size of the intended users, there is no questioning that Washington, DC has several large retail centers with ample opportunities for a variety of businesses to capitalize on an under-retailed city.
