DC Development Report’s Top 3 Projects by Sector

Showcasing the diversity in DC’s development activity

Washington, DC Economic Partnership will release the 2014/15 edition of our annual DC Development Report on December 9th, 2014 at our Annual Meeting and Development Showcase. The DC Development Report is a highly-valued publication detailing the current development activity and trends in Washington, DC across five different sectors. With nearly 15 years of detailed development data on over 1,500 projects, WDCEP’s DC Development Report 2014/15 is an essential tool in analyzing the development market in D.C.

December’s Map of the Month celebrates the upcoming release of our DC Development Report as well as showcases the diversity in D.C.’s development activity. This month, we are illustrating the top 3 largest projects (by square feet) currently under construction for each of the development sectors: retail, office, residential, hospitality and education. With over 10.6 million square feet of development competed in 2014 and 23.1 million square feet currently under construction, D.C. is certainly continuing to build upon the building boom which defined much of the 2000’s.
