Info Session on Upcoming Trade Mission: Expanding Your Business to China
Mayor Vincent Gray, Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development Victor Hoskins, and the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) are leading the DC Economic Development Trip to the People’s Republic of China, June 24 – July 2, 2012. Official mission stops include Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou and Shenzhen.
DSLBD invites you to attend an information session to learn about the China Trade Mission objectives and the benefits of participating. The information session is scheduled for May 7, 2012, and will feature several speakers, including Alain DeSarran, Deputy Director, Office of International Operations, U.S. Department of Commerce.
Small DC businesses eligible to participate in the DC State Trade and Export Promotion (STEP) program may receive up to $8500 in reimbursable funds for eligible expenses associated with this event, as well as other qualified export activities. Martha LaCrosse, ExportDC Director, will provide an overview of ExportDC and information on how to apply for STEP funding.
