ICSC Comes To DC

The 2009 Mid-Atlantic ICSC Idea Exchange will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on February 18th and 19th.

Main attractions include the Developer’s Runway, where the region’s most significant new retail projects are featured; the Retailers’ Runway, featuring new or expanding retailers in the Greater Washington Area; and various retail specific sessions including a State of the Industry presentation.

This year roughly two thousand people are expected to attend, exceeding expectations given today’s economic climate. Keith Sellars, Senior Vice President of Retail & Real Estate at WDCEP said, “This year the Washington, DC retail market is looked upon as the strongest in the region due to spending power and successfulness of retailers that have located here in the past 5 years.”

ICSC Mid-Atlantic is a draw for regional brokers, retailers, developers, economic development officials and elected offices looking to educate themselves about the Washington retail market, the latest concepts in retail leasing and the future of DC’s retail industry.
