Highlighting East of the River Retail Potential
The Washington, DC Economic Partnership is currently developing a restaurant site tour with the District government that will focus on opportunities for local and national restaurateurs east of the Anacostia River. The tour will highlight existing opportunities along Good Hope Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue as well as updates on major mixed-use development projects such as Skyland, Curtis Properties at MLK & W and St. Elizabeths East Campus. New public and private developments are creating opportunities across all neighborhoods east of the River. Entrepreneurs such as Michael Landrum (Ray’s The Steaks at East River) have taken advantage of these investments by opening restaurants in areas with high-demand.
