Goodbye to Lily Qi

After nearly four years with our team, the Marketing Center says good bye to Lily Qi. Lily began her career with the Marketing Center as Manager of Business Development. After a year in that position, Lily was promoted to Vice President of Business Development. In May, Lily added VP of Marketing to her title.

As Vice President for the Marketing Center, Lily was responsible for the DC Business Connections program (DCBC). Under her guidance, the program responded directly to business concerns and needs, and provided city leaders with valuable information that resulted in refined policies and programs. Since the program’s inception, DCBC has met with more than 1,850 CEO’s and business leaders

Lily is also responsible for creating the Business Initiatives Breakfast series. This successful series brings timely and important issues to the business community. Past seminars include “Major League Baseball in DC: What Does it Mean for District Businesses?” and “A View from the Top— City Administrator Robert Bobb and Council Member Sharon Ambrose on Economic Development.”

We wish Lily the very best as she fills the position of Public Information Officer with the DC Government Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking.
