Gallery Place Has Official Grand Opening
On Thursday, November 4, DC’s newest mixed-use project officially opened. Gallery Place, located at 701 7th Street, NW, hosted an opening celebration that included remarks from Mayor Williams, Delegate Eleanor Holmes-Norton, Council member Jack Evans, and Chip Akridge.
Guests at the opening enjoyed a first look at the more than one million square feet that make up Gallery Place and a special screening of the film “Alfie” at the new 14-screen Regal Cinemas. Additional retailers include Ann Taylor Loft, Aveda, a flagship Benetton/Sisley store, BB&T Bank, Clyde’s Restaurant, City Sports, Haagen-Dazs, Miso Hungry, Thai Chili, Urban Outfitters, and Washington Sport and Health Clubs.
Gallery Place has 230,000 square feet of Class A office space, 250,000 square feet of prime retail space, 192 luxury residential condominiums, and 700 parking spaces in a secure underground garage.
