Downtown BID Releases Quarterly Report

The Downtown BID recently released its fourth quarter Development Activity Report for 2004. The quarterly report offers a snapshot of development projects in the downtown area.

Highlights from the report include project announcements such as Akridge signing Dewey Ballantine at Carroll Square for 90,000 square feet. Construction for this project is scheduled to begin early 2005 and will include 15,000 SF of retail and an additional 60,000 SF of office. Other project highlights include the joint effort by Penzance and Trammell Crow to develop a 250,000 square foot office building.

The report also features delivered projects in this past quarter such as Faison’s 400 Massachusetts Avenue, a 257-unit condominium project and the completed renovations of 834 rooms at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill.
