DCBIA Retail Committee Program to Explore DC’s Retail Future

On Thursday, October 27, 2005 the DCBIA Retail Committee will host its annual Retail Program at the National Press Club.

The evening program, titled “Shopping DC: Retail 2020” will explore the District’s potential retail landscape 15 years from now. This interactive panel will feature presentations by the following retail experts:
Anthony Lanier, President – EastBanc; Faith Hope Consolo, Chairman, Retail Leasing & Sales Division – Prudential Douglas Elliman; John Chapman, Principal – Chapman Consulting

Michael Stevens, President & CEO of the DC Economic Partnership, will moderate the panel discussion after the presentations. Steve Moore, Deputy Director of the Downtown DC BID will provide introductions and an overview of the evening’s discussions.

Presentations will focus on the principles of success found in the Georgetown retail experience, the District’s appeal for luxury and international retailers, and new findings on downtown DC’s demographics and retail demand potential. DC’s retail landscape is rapidly changing and the panelists will discuss the retail opportunities and realities of the District.
