DC startup launched crowdfunding campaigns for several DC charter schools

Edbacker, a tech startup housed at 1776, a growing business incubator, is supporting crowdfunding campaigns for several DC schools. In return for support, these schools are offering perks for contributing businesses such as being listed as partner of the school, or having a white label newsletter sent home to all parents and staff. Edbacker is also willing to work on PR initiatives to spread the word about businesses’ involvement.

Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools is the prime participant. With an emphasis in public policy, Cesar Chavez educators are raising $35,000 to take their students to New Orleans to learn about the city and continue efforts in rebuilding the communities affected by Hurricane Katrina. During this holiday season, we urge you to give back to your local community and provide these inner city students with a learning environment equipped for success!
