DC Deal Making in New York

The Washington, DC Marketing Center represented the city at the recent International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Conference and Deal Making event held in New York December 6-8, 2004.

The Marketing Center representatives met with retailers who were interested in locating to the District and provided them with site location options and a host of additional information.

The Center also demonstrated its new retail space search feature of the new website. The feature assists retailers in finding a host of resources to help make the decision to open a store in the District a reality.

Developers, financial institutions, brokers, national retailers, and government officials attended the event. This event provided city and state representatives a forum to discuss with retailers the benefits of locating to their particular city.

Following the New York ICSC meeting, are the Mid-Atlantic Idea Exchange in Washington, DC on March 23-24 and the 2005 Las Vegas ICSC Spring Convention held May22-25. It is expected that more than 30,000 will attend the Las Vegas convention.
