The WDCEP will be releasing its newest version of the popular DC Doing Business Guide next month, a biennial publication that covers information essential to relocating, starting and expanding your business in DC. Whether you are an existing business looking to relocate to DC, an entrepreneur looking for guidance on starting a business in DC, or a DC-based company looking to understand local business resources, you will find the guide an essential tool.
The 2014-2015 edition will bring all of the same reliable information that the DC Doing Business Guide is known for, plus a more comprehensive “Resource” chapter. This in-depth addition that will feature: a network of organizations that offer technical assistance to entrepreneurs, a list of co-working or shared working spaces available in the city, updated information on new incentives from both the local and federal government, as well as updates on the new Business Service Group from the Department of Employment Services (DOES) to assist entrepreneurs with their hiring needs.
WDCEP’s DC Doing Business Guide will be released on Monday, August 25th, at the Entrée DC Food and Drink Forum 2014, held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. At the half-day event, aspiring entrepreneurs interested in opening a catering, restaurant, delicatessen, bakery or vending business will have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions that will cover leasing agreements, regulatory processes, finances, and more.
