Capital One Bank Gives Back to Area Entrepreneurs in WDCEP’s Business Plan Competition
The WDCEP’s 2011 Business Plan Competition (BPC) is bigger and better than ever – this year, the program includes a $100,000 investment, as well as an additional $50,000 in in-kind offerings for the winning company. The BPC has also gained a valued partner in Capital One Bank, this year’s BPC presenting sponsor. In this role, Capital One Bank provides valuable expertise, and high level executive thought leadership, acting as speakers and judges for the BPC.
As part of its outreach and marketing program, the WDCEP offered three business plan writing workshops to the public. Workshop participants gained insight on the writing process through several hands-on, interactive presentations from Capital One Bank business bankers, who brought a real world perspective to the process of writing a business plan, developing a financial plan and presenting a business plan to investors. Through our BPC, Capital One Bank has shown its commitment as a valuable resource to local entrepreneurs to help them succeed in life and in business throughout Washington, DC.
