CAPCO- Small Business Seminar
On Thursday, December 8, 2005, 8:30-10:00 a.m., the DC Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB) will host a joint seminar, “CAPCO and Surety Bonding-Tools for Small Business Growth,” with the Surety Association of America to introduce two important tools for DC’s small business development-CAPCO and surety bonding.
The DC Certified Capital Companies (CAPCO) program is a new economic development tool administered by DISB to provide growth funds to promising local small businesses. Attendees will learn how to qualify for CAPCO and surety bonding; two options that can assist small businesses in growing and competing for more opportunities.
Tom Hampton, Acting Commissioner, Department of Insurance, Securities & Banking and Lynn Schubert, President, Surety Association of America, CAPCO Fund Managers, Surety Bond Underwriter and Agent are the featured speakers.
The breakfast seminar will be held at the Washington, DC Economic Partnership (formerly Washington, DC Marketing Center) and is free of charge and open to the public.
