CAPCO and WDCEP Working Together To Promote Entrepreneurship in DC

As Washington, DC Certified Capital Companies (CAPCOs), Enhanced Capital Partners and Advantage Capital Partners provide investment capital to qualifying District small businesses that are otherwise unable to access traditional sources of capital, such as from banks. Together, Enhanced and Advantage have assisted more than 200 small businesses nationwide, which have created in excess of 15,000 jobs.

With their funding of the Washington, DC Economic Partnership’s Business Plan Competition, Advantage’s and Enhanced’ s contributions to the District’s economy extend beyond merely making investments in local businesses.  2011 is the third year in a row that Enhanced and Advantage are combining efforts to provide $100,000 in investment capital through the District’s CAPCO program to the winner of the Competition.  In addition to providing investment capital to the winner, representatives from Enhanced and Advantage advise competition contestants at workshops and assist with judging the business plans.  The WDCEP applauds the commitment Enhanced and Advantage demonstrate to the District’s small business community.
