WASHINGTON, DC—EnviRelation, LLC; Wegora, LLC; and megree, Inc. have emerged as the three finalists in WDCEP’s annual $100,000 Business Plan Competition.

EnviRelation, a food waste management enterprise; Wegora, a software developer; and megree, Inc., a social media tool working with not-for-profits, will advance to the final stage of judging of this year’s competition. The winner will be announced at the third annual WDCEP Small Business Awards on July 28 at the Willard InterContinental Hotel.

“These DC based companies impressed our judges and represent the creativity and innovation we see in the small business community here in Washington,” says Steve Moore, President and CEO of the Washington, DC Economic Partnership.

The winner of the 2010 Business Plan Competition will be honored at the Small Business Awards ceremony, a program that recognizes and celebrates local small businesses. The 2010 ceremony will feature a keynote address by CoStar founder Andrew Florance.

The 2010 Business Plan Competition is an initiative of the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development and the Washington, DC Economic Partnership.
