BIB: The District’s Transit Future
The Washington, DC Economic Partnership will present its next Business Initiatives Breakfast on, “DC’s Transit Future: Connecting DC’s Businesses and Neighborhoods.”
District of Columbia Department of Transportation Director Dan Tangherlini will be the guest speaker. The interactive seminar will present DDOTs findings on transit alternatives for connecting DC’s increasing population to its neighborhoods and businesses. The discussion will also focus on public investment and DDOT’s $100+ million investment into Great Streets, the return of streetcars to DC, bus rapid transit systems and transit initiatives taking place over the next 20 years.
The BIB will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2005, 8:00-10:00 a.m. at the National Press Club, 13th Floor, Holeman Lounge, 529 14th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20045 (Metro: Metro Center).
