3rd Annual GLBT Economic Development Summit October 24
WDCEP is a proud sponsor of the Third Annual Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) Economic Development Summit, being held in the District of Columbia on Saturday, October 24, 2008, from 9:00am-4:00pm at the Madison Loews Hotel (1177 15th Street, NW).
The GLBT Economic Development Summit is the premiere event for GLBT business leaders and professionals in the Washington metropolitan area.
The goal of the summit is to connect GLBT business leaders with government and non-government resources to improve their business and ensure that GLBT business leaders and entrepreneurs play an important role in leading the economic and creative development of the city.
Workshop and panel sessions at the summit will include information on doing business with local and federal government, mastering media relations, strategic management in tough economic times, new business development, online marketing and social networking.
The conference is being supported by the Washington, DC Economic Partnership, the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, the Mayor’s Office of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered (GLBT) Affairs, the Department of Small and Local Business Development, PEN-DC, Metro DC’s LGBT Chamber of Commerce, and the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.
