The Washington, DC Economic Partnership proudly announces the 2007 Neighborhood Retail Opportunities Book. The fifth edition of this annual publication is a guide to finding information, resources and locations for businesses in the District of Columbia. Its release is timed to coincide with the International Council of Shopping Centers Spring Convention and it is foremost among the resources employed to attract national and international retailers and developers to invest in the District of Columbia. Featuring a by-the numbers approach to 32 neighborhoods, this catalog highlights more than 200 retail development projects throughout the District of Columbia.

The 2007 Neighborhood Retail Opportunities book is your directory to data on location, square footage, availability and contact information, as well as demographic profiles for 32 neighborhoods across the District of Columbia. It spotlights the icon projects in the DC development pipeline, including Capitol Riverfront; H Street, NE; NoMa; Old Convention Center Site: Anacostia Waterfront Initiative; Southwest Waterfront; Poplar Point; Center City Action Agenda 2007; Skyland Shopping Center; New York Avenue, NE; and Mount Vernon Triangle. Detailed profiles feature descriptive overviews and vital demographic data about key neighborhoods in the District of Columbia. The data is compiled from the local and national sources and includes Metro ridership and automobile traffic counts. Consumer expenditure categories emphasize dollar purchases of retail goods, meals at home and at restaurants, and travel and entertainment and recreation categories. A summary of average dollars spent per household concludes the section. Specific retail opportunity sites are geographically arranged by neighborhood and provide photos, site data and site locator maps. A listing of resources and incentives available from the public and private sectors and an index of retail opportunity sites conclude the publication.
