Washington, DC to Showcase Cool at South by Southwest Tech, Music and Film Conference
WDCEP, Mayor Muriel Bowser and other city partners return to SXSW to promote DC’s tech and creative industries in Austin, Texas
Washington DC Economic Partnership in collaboration with the Executive Office of the Mayor of the District of Columbia (EOM), the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED), and Events DC, is heading back to South by Southwest (SXSW) to market DC as the hottest spot in the country for startups. It’s the 5th year the group returns to the popular festival to showcase the city’s vibrant tech and creative scene, and cultivate new partnerships between DC and the national business community.
New activations at the WeDC House this year highlight the city’s cosmopolitan vibe promoting collaboration, inclusion and connectivity. The innovative events also show that in the nation’s capital city, tech, music, food, art and culture are just as important as politics.
