Tiffany Thacker

Tiffany Thacker joined the Washington, DC Economic Partnership in January 2012 and serves as the Vice President of Programs.

Ms. Thacker manages and leads the ventor/mentor program, Accelerate DC, and the District’s technology business growth initiatives under the Digital DC platform. She also leads the programming of Washington, DC’s presence at SXSW each March.

Ms. Thacker’s passion for economic development and innovation led her to move to the Washington, DC-area from Kentucky to pursue her Masters of Public Policy in regional economic development and technology policy at George Mason University. Prior to moving to the DC metro area, Tiffany worked for 9 years at Baird & Baird PSC, a full-service law firm in Pikeville, Kentucky, where she was responsible for evidentiary development and hearing preparation of federal employment law cases.

Ms. Thacker has been involved in numerous volunteer activities over the past few years, most notably serving on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students and presiding over George Mason University’s Graduate and Professional Student Association. She currently volunteers as a networking mentor for the GMU School of Public Policy Alumni Association. She holds an undergraduate degree in political science and history from Pikeville College and a MPP from George Mason University. She is a member of the International Economic Development Council and the Urban Land Institute.
