PèTrina Paxton-Thompson

PèTrina Paxton-Thompson is the Manager of Operations for the Washington, DC Economic Partnership. Mrs. Paxton-Thompson is responsible for managing the organization’s financial and accounting policies, systems and processes, tax and regulatory requirements, and ongoing financial modeling and reporting.

In addition to overseeing internal operations, PèTrina also manages all aspects of human resources by planning, implementing, evaluating employee relations, human resources policies, programs, practices and ensuring that WDCEP meets all legal requirements, and is in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

PèTrina possesses over 8 years of human resources and organizational development experience in both the private/public sectors of national and international arenas. Her expertise includes strategic program management, training/employee development, resource and budget forecasting, compensation, benefits, organizational development and employee/labor relations.

PèTrina has been an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management for over 6 years and is recognized by the Human Resources Certification Institute as a Certified Professional in Human Resources
