Erica Moore assists with WDCEP’s start-up and technology sector business development and business attraction initiatives. In addition to helping coordinate Washington, DC’s presence at South by Southwest (SXSW) and managing data collection of the District’s technology sector, Mrs. Moore focuses on managing the daily operations and long-term development of WDCEP’s technology startup mentoring program, the Accelerate DC Venture Mentoring Service.
Mrs. Moore earned her B.A. in Sociology from The College of William & Mary and upon graduation she completed a year of service with AmeriCorps, building a sustainable inter-generational volunteer program in Charlottesville, Va. Prior to joining WDCEP, Mrs. Moore led business development and marketing efforts at several law firms in Washington, D.C.
Originally from Richmond, Va., Mrs. Moore loves calling D.C. “home,” where she listens to live music, host dinner parties, and supports local artisans and businesses. She also volunteers with Reading Partners and is a Big Buddy at Comfort Zone Camp in Richmond, Va.
